How Does the Design Process Work? It is not simply enough to make the decision to have a web site and then check off a few items. There are a number of questions that need to be asked and Digital Wise has a specific project methodology for any web site project that we work on. We use a multi-phase development process that assists our clients with all of the aspects of the project. We use a per-phase check off list to manage all of the items in each phase and the client signs off on each item in each phase and the final deliverables for that phase. Project Phases Phase 1: Initial Consultation. Digital Wise, Inc. meets with the client and assists the client with formulating answers to the initial consultant questions including those listed above. Phase 2: Project Plan. Digital Wise, Inc. works with the information provided by the client to develop the project plan including costs, timelines and general project information. Checklists for the remaining phases are developed as well. Phase 3: Design and Testing. Digital Wise, Inc. works with the Phase 1 and 2 information to design an initial web site including a working site that includes all functionality of the final website. Digital Wise, Inc. meets with the client after the initial web site is done to review the final product and make a checklist of any changes that need to be made. Once final approval of Phase 3 work is complete, Digital Wise, Inc. moves the project to Phase 4. Phase 4: Site Launch. The site is launched to the public. Digital Wise, Inc. can assist the client with any search engine submissions and marketing that might be necessary. Phase 5: Maintenance and Enhancements.
